Baldwin Bone & Joint Hand, Elbow & Shoulder Services Expands to Include In-Office, Outpatient Procedures and Addition of Leslie B. Davis, Occupational Therapist/Certified Hand Therapist
DAPHNE, AL (November 10, 2022) –
Baldwin Bone & Joint is pleased to announce the addition of Leslie B. Davis, Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist, to its hand, elbow and shoulder services team.
With over two decades of clinical experience and a specialty in hand therapy, Davis joins Baldwin Bone & Joint and Dr. Allison Hunter, fellowship-trained hand and upper extremity surgeon, in treating patients with injuries and conditions from the shoulders to the fingertips.
“The addition of Leslie Davis integrated in our clinic flow and pre-operative and post-operative care is going to be a tremendous benefit to patients. Not only can we now offer on-site hand, elbow and shoulder therapy, we will provide seamless evaluations as a team by often evaluating and treating patients. I’m looking forward to Leslie being a part of our team, and confident it will ultimately lead to better patient outcomes,” states Hunter. (Photo: Allison Hunter, M.D.)
Davis comes to Baldwin Bone & Joint from practicing in Pensacola, Fla., where she has evaluated and treated patients with varying degrees of hand, upper extremity and various orthopaedic issues since 2020.
“We want our patients to have a very fluid process when it comes to transitioning from seeing the doctor for surgery or general treatment to ensuring that they’re getting back to what’s important to them. That may be sport or gardening or just being active in their community. It is our goal that each patient is satisfied with their ability to return to doing what they love. We strive to make sure our patients have the best journey back to recovery,” says Davis. (Photo: Leslie Davis)
Davis holds a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of South Alabama, licenses from ALBOT, FLBOT and NBCOT and has practiced as a certified hand therapist since 2017. She is a member of the American Society of Hand Therapists and is a former Communications Chairperson of the Alabama Occupational Therapy Association.
Additionally, Baldwin Bone & Joint now offers to our patients the beneficial convenience of in-office, outpatient surgical procedures including trigger finger, carpal tunnel, and finger mass excision.
