Gulf Coast Media to host inaugural football Media Day

August 9, 2022 –  Gulf Coast Media is set to host its first-ever Media Day, a social and live streaming event celebrating high school football across Baldwin County.

Public and private schools will each be featured in their own time slot starting at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 16, with the program’s head coach and two players sitting for an interview with Gulf Coast Media Sports Editor Cole McNanna and Publisher Vince Johnson.

Interviews will be streamed live on Gulf Coast Media’s Facebook page, and those wanting to see a school in person can come to the event at the Orange Beach Event Center. There is no admission to attend or watch.

Daphne, Ala. (July 25, 2022) – Baldwin Bone and Joint is pleased to announce that it will now offer orthopaedic care to residents of Atmore, Ala., and the surrounding communities. Dr. Michael Chamblee and Dr. William Park, IV are currently accepting new patients for appointments every Wednesday at the new Baldwin Bone & Joint Atmore office location at 401 Medical Park Drive.

Dr. George Corbett will begin accepting new patients on Monday, August 22nd and be available for appointments every 2nd and 4th Monday at the Atmore Community Hospital.

Dr. Allison Hunter to Speak on Latest Treatment for Common Ailments of the Hand and Wrist

Daphne, Ala. (July 18, 2022) – Dr. Allison Hunter, fellowship-trained hand and upper extremity surgeon, will discuss common causes and solutions for hand and wrist issues at a free community education seminar on Tuesday, August 16, 2022. The seminar includes a complimentary lunch for all who RSVP by August 12.

Hunter will present “I Have My Grandmother’s Hands” – Solutions for Common Ailments of the Hand and Wrist at the Orange Beach Senior Activity Center from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. The Orange Beach Senior Activity Center is located at 26251 Canal Road in Orange Beach, Al.

Topics for the lunch and learn event include carpal tunnel syndrome, small joint arthritis, and tendonitis of the hand and wrist.

Amedee Stokley, PA-CDaphne, AL (July 18, 2022) – Baldwin Bone & Joint is pleased to announce the addition of Amedee Stokley, PA-C to the clinical team of orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Matthew Goldman.

A native of Mobile, Ala., Stokley received a Bachelor of Science degree from Spring Hill College and spent two years working as an orthopaedic medical assistant before earning her Master of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of South Alabama.

“My goal as a provider is to help our patients feel like they are more than just a diagnosis. I want them to be confident that they are receiving quality, compassionate care to help them reach their treatment goals,” Stokley said.

Stokley is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Alabama Society of Physician Assistants, the National Honor Society of Allied Health Professions, and the National Honor Society for Physician Assistants.
