Dynamic Orthopaedic Massage Therapy
As part of our comprehensive approach to care, Baldwin Bone & Joint physicians and providers may prescribe a treatment plan for a patient that includes orthopaedic massage therapy.
In addition to bringing balance to the body and helping to prevent injury, orthopaedic massage therapy is often used in rehabilitation to treat the cause of muscle imbalances, such as poor posture and tension, and may also prevent chronic aches and pains in the future.
Who may benefit from massage therapy?
Patients who suffer from a variety of medical issues including:
- plantar fasciitis
- frozen shoulder
- piriformis syndrome
- migraines
- chronic neck and back pain
Types of Massage
Certified Myoskeletal Alignment Therapist
Baldwin Bone & Joint’s massage therapy services are led by Roderick Gibbs, a licensed massage therapist and physical therapist assistant.
He has served as an integral part of our orthopaedic team since 2008. A certified Myoskeletal Alignment Therapist, Roderick’s expertise in massage therapy stretches beyond relaxing the muscles.
“If the physician recommends orthopaedic massage therapy for a patient, the Baldwin Bone & Joint team members collectively develop a plan. From pain management and physical therapy to work comp injuries, our goal is quality patient care and to get our patients back on track.”
