Community Outreach Campaign Kickoff – January 8
Daphne, Ala. (Oct. 23, 2023) – Local school-age kids, runners and exercise enthusiasts may have put a lot of miles on old running shoes and shoes for all purposes, but when they are donated to the “Many More Miles” campaign, those gently used shoes will come to life again as they land on the feet of someone who really needs them.
For the 20th year, Baldwin Bone & Joint, P.C. will host this important community outreach project, and, for the third consecutive year, the local orthopaedic practice will partner with Baldwin County Public Schools and City Hope Church.

FAIRHOPE, AL (Oct. 25, 2023) – From physical therapy to lifestyle changes, non-surgical and surgical treatments, there are proven ways to effectively reduce and eliminate low back pain and improve overall functioning. Join Dr. James Hicks on Tuesday, November 14th as he raises awareness and offers hope for those suffering from low back pain.
The public is invited to a complimentary Lunch & Learn event featuring Dr. James Hicks, fellowship-trained neck & spine specialist with The Spine Institute at Baldwin Bone & Joint. Dr. Hicks’ talk is entitled, “Understanding Low Back Pain & Available Treatment Options.”

Understanding Chronic Pain: Offering Hope Through Relief and Management Tools
DAPHNE, AL (September 19, 2023) – From physical therapy and mindfulness activities to medication and lifestyle changes, there are many ways to help safely reduce pain levels and improve overall functioning.
The public is invited to learn more by attending one of two complimentary lunch and learn events in Baldwin County featuring Dr. Elliott Pennington, fellowship-trained pain management specialist with the Baldwin Bone & Joint orthopaedic team. Dr. Pennington will speak on, “Understanding Chronic Pain – Offering Hope Through Relief and Management Tools.”

Bay Business News | PAIN MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST TO HOST PUBLIC TALKS IN BALDWIN COUNTY
Dr. Elliott Pennington, a fellowship-trained pain management specialist with the Baldwin Bone & Joint orthopaedic team, will be speaking at two public lunch-and-learn events in Baldwin County. “Understanding Chronic Pain – Offering Hope Through Relief and Management Tools” will be held on September 13 at the Foley Senior Center and on September 19 at the Orange Beach Adult Activity Center. Both talks will be held from 11 a.m. until noon. A native of the Gulf Coast, Pennington earned a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences and a medical degree from the University of South Alabama. He completed a clinical anesthesia residency and fellowship training in interventional pain medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Society of Anesthesiologists and American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.
