Daphne, Ala. (March 18, 2025) – Baldwin Bone & Joint is pleased to announce that its Many More Miles Campaign was recently selected as a finalist for Business Alabama’s Philanthropic Project of the Year. The annual community shoe drive collected a record-breaking 5,000 pairs of footwear last year to help those in need. Partners in this expanding initiative, now in its 21st consecutive year, include Baldwin County Public Schools, City Hope Church, St. Michael Catholic High School and Bayshore Christian School.

“We are beyond thrilled with the outpouring of support for this cause and are proud of 21 years of Many More Miles! Finding homes for over 5,000 pairs of shoes annually is something all of us in Baldwin County can get behind and we sincerely appreciate all who participate! Thank you to Baldwin County schools, businesses, churches and residents for supporting helping those in need,” states Will Wiggins, Executive Administrator, Baldwin Bone & Joint.

City Hope Church is joining forces with Baldwin Bone & Joint’s 21st annual Many More Miles shoe drive to collect footwear for those in need across Mobile and Baldwin counties.

The church will host “Deliver Hope” on Sunday, March 9, encouraging congregants to donate gently worn or new shoes at any of its campuses across the Gulf Coast.

The donations, tied together in pairs, will be distributed through partnering organizations, including Baldwin County Public Schools, St. Michael Catholic High School and Bayshore Christian School.

Melanie Daw, associate pastor of outreach at City Hope Church, emphasized the impact of the initiative.
