DAPHNE — Local school-age kids, runners and exercise enthusiasts may have put a lot of miles on old running shoes and shoes for all purposes, but when they are donated to the “Many More Miles” campaign, those gently used shoes will come to life again as they land on the feet of someone who really needs them.

The public is invited to a complimentary Lunch and Learn event featuring Dr. John Todd, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon and medical director of The Shoulder Center at Baldwin Bone & Joint. Todd will present “Snap, Crackle and Pop – Why Does My Shoulder Hurt Me So?” The event will be held at the Orange Beach Adult & Senior Activity Center on November 3. An experienced shoulder specialist, Todd will discuss common causes and the latest options available, including nonoperative and operative care.
