Collection takes place March 9-13, with shoes distributed to foster families, homeless communities and local schools. As part of the initiative, Baldwin Bone & Joint will continue its annual school competition, awarding cash prizes to the top three Baldwin County schools that collect the most shoes. First place will receive $500, second place $300 and third place $200. Organizers say the competition helps motivate students while supporting school programs.
