Gently used running shoes and everyday footwear sitting in closets across Baldwin County will get a second life next spring through the Many More Miles campaign, a long-running community outreach effort that provides shoes to people in need across the Gulf Coast and beyond.

MANY MORE MILES CAMPAIGN SHIFTS TO WEEK OF GIVING: Baldwin Bone & Joint, P.C., along with City Hope Church and participating Baldwin County Schools, is hosting the 22nd community outreach event. In 2026, the Many More Miles Campaign will shift to Week of Giving on March 9-13, 2026, in which shoe donations will be collected for foster families, homeless communities and local schools. Dropoff sites include Baldwin Bone & Joint in Daphne; partnering Baldwin County Schools and other local schools; and the University of South Alabama Student Recreation Center, White-Spunner Realty and McCoy Outdoor Co in Mobile. Baldwin Bone & Joint will continue to award cash prizes to the top three schools collecting the highest number of shoes.

Mark Calendars Now to Drop Off Gently Used Shoes Week of March 9

Daphne, Ala. (December 22, 2025) – Local school-age kids, runners and exercise enthusiasts may have put a lot of miles on old running shoes and shoes for all purposes, but when they are donated to the “Many More Miles” campaign, those gently used shoes will come to life again as they land on the feet of someone who really needs them.

Baldwin Bone & Joint, P.C., along with City Hope Church and participating Baldwin County Schools, is hosting its 22nd community outreach event. In 2026, the Many More Miles Campaign shifts to a focused, powerful Week of Giving, March 9–13, speeding shoe donations to foster families, homeless communities, and local schools.

Dr. Keith Spain of Baldwin Bone & Joint will serve as the official physician (physician on call) as the Sun Belt Conference holds a full lineup of events in Foley, including the Sun Belt Cross Country Championship, the Sun Belt Women’s Soccer Championship, and the upcoming Sun Belt Women’s Volleyball Championship, Nov. 19-23.

Baldwin Bone & Joint’s Dr. Keith Spain will serve as the official physician for the Sun Belt Conference championships as collegiate athletes from across the region return to Foley this fall. Spain, a fellowship-trained sports medicine specialist, will oversee athlete health and provide care on site during three major events hosted by Foley Sports Tourism: the Sun Belt Cross Country Championship on Oct. 30-31, the Sun Belt Women’s Soccer Championship on Nov. 2-8 and the Sun Belt Women’s Volleyball Championship on Nov. 19-23.

(November 3, 2025) – The Sun Belt Conference returns to Foley, Ala., this fall for a full lineup of championship events hosted by Foley Sports Tourism, including the Sun Belt Cross Country Championship (October 30–31), the Sun Belt Women’s Soccer Championship (November 2–8), and the Sun Belt Women’s Volleyball Championship (November 19–23).

Overseeing the health and well-being of all participating athletes as official physician (physician on call) is Dr. Keith Spain of Baldwin Bone & Joint. A fellowship-trained sports medicine specialist, Spain specializes in the non-surgical treatment of orthopaedic injuries and medical conditions in athletes of all ages and skill levels.

“I am honored to serve as the official physician for the Sun Belt Conference Championships,” Spain said. “My priority is to ensure that every athlete receives top-tier medical care, allowing them to compete safely and confidently.”
