Understanding Chronic Pain: Offering Hope Through Relief and Management Tools

DAPHNE, AL (September 19, 2023) – From physical therapy and mindfulness activities to medication and lifestyle changes, there are many ways to help safely reduce pain levels and improve overall functioning.

The public is invited to learn more by attending one of two complimentary lunch and learn events in Baldwin County featuring Dr. Elliott Pennington, fellowship-trained pain management specialist with the Baldwin Bone & Joint orthopaedic team. Dr. Pennington will speak on, “Understanding Chronic Pain – Offering Hope Through Relief and Management Tools.”

Bay Business News | PAIN MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST TO HOST PUBLIC TALKS IN BALDWIN COUNTY
Dr. Elliott Pennington, a fellowship-trained pain management specialist with the Baldwin Bone & Joint orthopaedic team, will be speaking at two public lunch-and-learn events in Baldwin County. “Understanding Chronic Pain – Offering Hope Through Relief and Management Tools” will be held on September 13 at the Foley Senior Center and on September 19 at the Orange Beach Adult Activity Center. Both talks will be held from 11 a.m. until noon. A native of the Gulf Coast, Pennington earned a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences and a medical degree from the University of South Alabama. He completed a clinical anesthesia residency and fellowship training in interventional pain medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Society of Anesthesiologists and American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.

DAPHNE, AL – (August 31, 2023) – Quality health care closer to home, was the August 1 ribbon-cutting celebration message of the Baldwin County Surgery Center. Located at 21890 AL-181, Fairhope, AL 36532, the 8-acre campus, 24,000 square-foot ambulatory surgery center, including 6 operating rooms, offers an array of services. All are within reach of Baldwin County patients.

“As the region’s only academic health system, we are excited to bring this surgery center – and the talented team working there,” said Owen Bailey, M.S.H.A., FACHE chief executive officer of USA Health, based in Mobile. “This much-needed facility will improve access to exceptional healthcare, and it will bring our specialists closer to the people of Baldwin County.”
